Since early childhood Lynne has expressed herself sketching, drawing and painting * inspired by her mother Rosemary Booth, a lifelong oils artist who resides and paints daily at her studio in historical Alexandria Va.  Almost ten years ago, having retired from the corporate world, Lynne eagerly resumed her artistic pursuits on a full-time basis.

She has honed those skills with extended formal study under Kathryn Roark a well-known Las Vegas artist and, more recently,  the late Joyce Hunter of Bear Valley.

Having outgrown her original home studio, Lynne established Studio Bee  located in downtown Tehachapi.  Recently, however, she was delighted to move into her newly constructed hilltop home studio in Oak Knolls where she continues to host weekly painting sessions and oil classes for adults and teens.

Lynne attends workshops from well-known artists, such as John Michael Carter, Caroline Jasper, Robert Burridge, Art Sherwyn, Dominic Vignola, Frank Serrano and most recently, Elin Pendleton.

Her work is featured at the Crossroads Gallery and Tehachapi Art Center both located in Tehachapi, CA,  and she has participated in several group and solo shows at Gallery 'n Gifts (downtown Tehachapi).  Her art is also displayed at various businesses in town as well as the City Hall.

Lynne teaches a teen class on Tuesday Afternoons.  Two of her students have won awards at the Gallery 'n Gift sponsored youth art contest in Tehachapi. (Cassie, "Best of Show", Melonie, Second in her Age Group).  I am sooo proud of them!
